The Frog Prince
One evening, a princess went outside to play with her golden ball. By accident,
she bounced it too high. It bounced over her head and into a nearby pond.
Then, an ugly frog stuck his head out of the water. He said, “I will get your ball
for you. But you must promise to love me and to let me live with you!”
The princess just wanted her golden ball back, so she agreed. The frog found the
ball and gave it to the princess. She immediately ran home, leaving the sad frog
behind.
Later that night, the princess told her father about the frog. Suddenly, she heard
a knock at the door. She opened it and was alarmed to see the frog. She slammed
the door shut!
The princess ran to her father. She said that the ugly frog was at the door. He
reminded her that the frog did her a favor. Now, she must keep her promise.
The princess hesitated. Then, she let the frog come inside. She refused to pick
him up, thought. The frog dined with the princess and her father. The princess
watched the frog grab the food with his long tongue. She lost her appetite.
The frog thanked the princess for letting him in. Later, the frog asked the
princess to kiss him good night. The thought made her sick. She hesitated again.
Finally, she closed her eyes and kissed the frog.
To her surprise, the frog turned into a handsome prince! They got married and
lived happily ever after.
